Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation has a rich history of partnering with local schools and youth groups to provide educational and career building experiences. These include a variety of field trips and other resources to local students including financial literacy workshops and field trips to Northwest.
Occasionally, with Northwest’s relationship with the Washington Commanders, we also have the opportunity to plan an event with a current or past player. Special thanks to Bobby Wagner for partnering with Team Northwest to create a special STEM learning experience for the students of Laurel Learning Center.
If your school or youth group is interested in having your school or youth group attend a field trip to Northwest, please email FOUNDATION@NWFCU.ORG
“Northwest Federal Credit Union graciously opened their doors to our MentorWorks program, hosting 80 fourth through sixth grade mentees for a field trip they will never forget. Our students, who all attend Title 1 schools, were given the opportunity to sit at the table in the Board Room for a high-power meeting with CEO, Jeff Bentley to learn about his journey to become a CEO of a large business. They were taken on a tour of the facility, were taught about the importance of saving and what it means to take out a loan. The NWFCU team, including their mascot, enthusiastically greeted our mentees with kindness, introducing them to the basics of financial literacy and demonstrating the importance of caring for one’s community. It was an incredible experience for our mentees and mentors!"
